Dear friends, family and other notables in our life, thanks for looking at our cheesy but nonetheless necessary HONEYMOON blog.

Yes, we know it’s mercenary, but after much discussion with some of you, we realise that buying wedding gifts for people such as ourselves, who have been living in sin for some years now, can be tricky.

And let’s face it, we already have a lot of old crap in our flat (5 banjos; 2 badminton rackets; 1 motorway roadwork halogen lamp; 1 rusting desert sign; 3 1950s home organs; 1 map of the journey of St Paul through the Eastern Mediterranean; 1 non-functioning scrambler motorbike, 1979; 1 stuffed diving duck; a complete compendium of modern Arabic fiction; 2 sets of antlers; 1 stuffed diving duck; 1 WWII petrol can; an entire set of maps for cycle routes within the M25; 2 copies of Gaddafi’s Green book; 1 rhinestone buddha; a significant collection of brass band LPs; 2 toasters and 1 kettle, to name just a few) and as such….

if you do insist on buying us a wedding present (and believe us, your presence in sunny Almeria on 11th November will be more than a gift to us!) then we would be very grateful if rather than buying us STUFF, you would consider helping us out with some of the finer details of our honeymoon……a road trip through Arizona, New Mexico and Texas in the USA.

The posts on this blog break down our honeymoon into activities for different legs of the trip, you can sponsor any of these as your gift to us. If you decide upon a part you feel you’d like to be assosciated with, then leave a comment on here so we know who you are and when to apprecite your gift, then post a cheque to the address on your invite to fund the activity.

Hopefully this all makes sense…..it’s an easy way to give us a memorable gift, of course all this is only an idea, so read on and see what you think………

As a doting Aunt and Uncle we would like to sponsor some of your petrol money and lots of water so that our little darlings don’t get lost in the desert. Have a great trip.
